Art India Foundation runs an ongoing art project at the thalassemia clinic run by Indian Red Cross Society, Pune. The digital display at the thalassemia clinic shows images of artworks by children and young adults. This has proven to be inspirational for the children undergoing thalassemia treatment. We have kept art supplies there so that the children can draw and paint while they are at the thalassemia clinic. See below select paintings by children which were created in the month of August 2022.
The month of August has few important days such as Independence Day as well as the festival of Raksha Bandhan. These important days influenced the kind of paintings the children did. The themes of the paintings included - “The Secret Seven”, a personal logo, sketch of a car, Covid-19, masks, cartoons and pen & ink sketch.
