Music workshop for children undergoing cancer treatment
We organised a music workshop for children undergoing cancer treatment at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. This was to mark International Childhood Cancer Day 2022. This special day is observed every year on 15th February.
The music workshop was conducted by Aparna Deodhar who is a sitar artist and a music teacher. She was assisted by Sushma Gidh. They conducted a live music session which had a presentation of songs in Hindi, Marathi and English using musical instruments such as sitar, piano, pianica as well as vocals.
The objectives of this music workshop were :
- Communicate with children through music by way of an interactive session
- Create an opportunity for the children to listen to soothing music
- Create an atmosphere conducive for learning and having fun
