The festival of Makar Sankranti has a close association with “Til ke Laddu” (laddus made from sesame and jaggery) and kite flying. This art and craft workshop conducted by Art India Foundation for the children undergoing chemotherapy at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, focused on kite making. The children made the kites using origami paper. The kite form was then pasted on a white sheet of paper. Further, they painted the sky in the background as the kite flying is done in the open surroundings.
