Calligraphy Workshop At Jnana Prabodhini Prashala

Art India Foundation had arranged a demonstration and workshop on the Art of Calligraphy by Prof. Babu Udupi at Jnana Prabodhini Prashala, Pune. During this workshop, Prof. Babu Udupi explained the development of Devanagari and English alphabets. This was followed by a dialogue with students during the question and answer session.

Prof. Babu Udupi is a master in Calligraphy. He had done G. D. Art with third rank in Maharashtra State in 1972. He retired as Principal from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He has designed several fonts for DTP for Devanagari and Kannada. He has worked with several leading publications and advertising agencies.
