We work with hospitals and clinics to conceptualise and implement art projects and initiatives. While the art initiatives will benefit all patients and their families, our focus would be the children who undergo treatment at these hospitals and clinics. We have been working with children undergoing cancer treatment (chemotherapy) as well as children undergoing thalassemia treatment.
The first hospital where we started with an art initiative was Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), Mumbai. We started working with the Department of Paediatric Oncology in 2019 by conducting art workshops for children undergoing treatment for cancer. Subsequently we started showing images of artworks by children at the digital display in the OPD area. We conduct a weekly art workshop for the children undergoing chemotherapy.
We started working with the Thalassemia clinic of Indian Red Cross Society on the occasion of Thalassemia Day 2022. After that, we set up the display of images of artworks by children on the TV set available at the thalassemia clinic. We have arranged for art supplies to kept at the clinic so that children who undergo treatment for thalassemia including blood transfusion, can draw and paint while they are at the clinic.
