This greeting cards workshop for children undergoing chemotherapy at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, was conducted by Art India Foundation on 29 December 2022. The theme for this art and craft workshop was to create greeting cards from waste materials and objects. The art teacher demonstrated how pencil shavings (waste from pencil sharpener when pencils are sharpened) can be used to create beautiful artworks. This was followed by the children pasting the pencil shavings on an art card and creating beautiful greeting cards.
The children enjoyed this art and craft workshop thoroughly as this was a totally new skill and technique that they got exposed to and could apply it to create beautiful greeting cards.
